In this area of learning, children investigate the world in which they live in both locally, nationally and in a global context. This investigation is facilitated through the study of topics which contain elements of Geography, History, Science and Technology. Children are naturally inquisitive and can direct their learning based on their own experiences and interests during the topic planning stages. In each topic, children develop their investigative science skills to enable them to develop a deeper level of understanding of the world in which they live in.

We are in a fortunate position in that we have expansive school grounds which is home to a range of flora and fauna. Our setting allows all year groups to experience outdoor learning using natural resources all year round.
