As a school we are very conscious of our children’s physical health and mental wellbeing and because of this we facilitate a range of physical exercises for our children to participate in both during the school day and as part of our Extra-Curricular programme. All children participate in physical activities with children in Years 5 to 7 attending weekly swimming sessions at our local leisure centre. We also avail of expert coaching from Derry GAA which focuses on developing our children’s fundamental skills of agility, balance and coordination.

Throughout the course of the school week, we participate in the ‘Daily Mile’ challenge along with both teaching and ancillary staff. Further details of the ‘Daily Mile’ and its benefits can be viewed on https://thedailymile.co.uk/
