Mission Statement from our children

We the pupils of St. John’s want to feel safe and secure in our learning environment. We want happy classrooms where everyone feels valued throughout the school day with friendly staff and pupils.  We want to be the very best that we can be. We would like our opinions and ideas to be listened to, discussed and if appropriate taken-on-board. If our ideas are not used, then we would like to hear why not. We want to be treated fairly with everyone being given the same opportunities to learn and develop our talents and interests. We enjoy being given responsibilities in our classroom and in our school so that we can take ownership in these areas. We want to trust that our teachers will make the right choices for us in our learning and experiences and that we can trust our classmates that they will allow us to learn each day in a positive and stimulating environment. We are all different and we like the way that our differences are celebrated and we want this to continue. Our school is a place where we can develop our talents and share them with others whilst we help some to find and develop theirs.
