St Patrick\'s Day celebrations at St. John\'s 🍀

What a wonderful St. Patrick's Day celebration we had this year!
We used this opportunity to share all the talent we have in St. John's,
whilst remembering the importance St. Patrick played in spreading a love for
God.
Indeed, we spread the good news of the wonderful gifts God has given us!
Highlights included:

  • poetry recitals from Years 1, 2 & 6
  • musical performances on violins, 'cellos, tin whistles, clarinets and flutes
  • displays of Irish dancing from Y3-Y7 pupils
  • a blessing recited in Irish by Y4
  • a performance from our wonderful choir
  • shared singing of 'Hail Glorious, St Patrick', led by Year 6
  • Year 7's interpretation of the 'Pat Rap' (composed by past teacher Mr Kelly)

We were delighted with the number of family members and friends of St.
John's who took time to come along and share.

We were especially grateful to Deacon Leo Creelman who opened the assembly.  We wish him well as he makes the final preparations towards his ordination in July 2015.

For those of you who missed it, see you next year!
